Numus Business Services is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information.

The primary purpose we collect personal information from you is to provide you with taxation services, accounting services or business advisory services. We may also use or disclose the personal information for another purpose such as to inform you of relevant taxation, accounting or business changes that may affect you or your business and to satisfy our Australian Taxation Office (ATO) obligations.

Our usual process of collecting personal information is to collect it directly from you.

However, we may collect personal information from other sources, such as the ATO, Centrelink, your other advisers (if any), other entities in the Numus Business Services Group, your suppliers or creditors, through paid search providers, through marketing or business development events, of from banks or other credit providers.

We will only collect the personal information from these other sources if it is necessary to provide you with taxation, accounting or business advisory services, or you have instructed us to collect your personal information from those sources.

Under our professional obligations, we are also required to issue you with an engagement letter before providing taxation, accounting or business advisory services. 

We will need to collect your personal information for this purpose. 

If you do not provide us with the requested information, we will not be able to provide you with those services. 

Your personal information may be disclosed to other entities, such as government agencies (ATO, ASIC, etc), external auditors, other services providers or referral partners in order to provide the taxation, accounting or business advisory services to you, or to assist our functions or activities (such as law firms, financial planners), entities within the Numus Business Services Group, contractors or consultants, third party software providers that you use and our third party technology providers such as our taxation and ledger software, email, data storage and other technologies.

We do not transfer or send your personal information to overseas call centres or consultants. We will take reasonable precautions to ensure that any electronic data that contains your personal information is securely stored. 

However, we cannot be held liable for any loss that you might incur as a consequence of any third-party intervention that accesses, procures or copies any data that contains your personal information from any medium or device we use to store or transmit such information.

We may utilise outsources service providers and cloud computing service providers.

These providers are included in our engagement letters for transparency.
